Southern Rhone, France: Domaine Pierre Usseglio

The Domaine Pierre USSEGLIO is a family business, created in 1948 by Françis USSEGLIO from Italy. We develop our red Châteauneuf-du-Pape in a traditional way with half of our vines who are more than 65 years old. Tillage has been passed down to us for several generations. The diversity of the soil, which constitutes the richness of our appellation, is present within the Domaine Pierre Usseglio (Limestone Soils, Rolled Pebbles, Sands, Sandstone and Clays). Our plots are spread over the entire area of ​​the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. From then on, we are attentive to the soil and we work our vineyard manually with respect throughout the seasons. We let nature express itself freely. It is thanks to this difference in terroir that we can offer you complex, silky and balanced wines. The plot selections up to the harvest harvested manually at optimal maturities is our secret. We bring great importance to sorting, both in the vines and at the arrival at the cellar. Domaine Pierre Usseglio respects the traditions of winemaking.
