This is an intense and complex Calvados from Normandy (France). On the nose there are pleasant hints of roasted coffee, confit of apples, and vanilla. On the palate the apples develop gradually to become dominant, ending in a long and pleasant finish. Perfect on its own as an aperitif or accompanied by glazed ham, roasted pork, soft cheeses, or fruit desserts.
