Brouilly
The vines that produce the grapes for this delicious red wine from Beaujolais (France) grow on the blue granite terroir of Mont Brouilly where the rock has retained its purest form. The vineyard is hidden on a south-southeast facing dell that is bathed in sunshine from dawn to dusk and sheltered from the north winds by a little deciduous forest. A spring wells up mid-slope and trickles down to the bed of the valley. The grapes are picked at peak ripeness from vines that have an average age of fifty years. They are then vinified using the traditional Burgundian method that includes manual punching down and wild yeasts. The aromas of cherry, and raspberries, along with nuances of rose petals on the nose are accompanied by intense fruit with lovely deep concentration and gentle tannins on the palate. Brouilly by Domaine des Terres Dorées is perfect on its own or paired with pork, poultry, game, or soft cheeses. Available for deliveries within Metro Manila.
